Botswana

Best Times: April - September

Botswana is a premier safari destination in Africa offering some of the best wildlife viewing on the planet, especially in and around the Chobe and Okavango Delta region. The Kalahari desert and San Bushman culture is another of this country's great attractions and should be on everyone's itinerary.

The specialty of Botswana tourist attractions is the unspoilt beauty of the country. The low population count of the country has made Botswana an adventure tourist's utopia. More than 17% of the total land area of this African state has been reserved as game reserves and national parks. The traveler to the country may select from the choice of experiencing the green Okavango Delta in the north of Botswana as well as the red desert Kalahari dunes to the south of the country. The excellent road network throughout Botswana makes the journey comfortable and memorable.

South Africa

Best Times: April - October

With the crocodiles in the Limpopo River to the penguins waddling on the Cape, South Africa could easily be the definition of diversity. Situated at the southern point of the world's's most majestic continent where the two oceans meet, South Africa is waiting to expose her beauty. There is the forsaken Kalahari, the ever-green Garden Route and the hustle and bustle of wildlife in the Kruger National Park. For those in search of a different kind of wildlife, they need not look any further then Cape Town's very own Long Street. Explore the epic nightlife of Cape Town in style after enjoying a mouth watering Cape Malay dish. Looking for something to tantalize those taste buds? - Look no further then Durban's Indian area for the best tasting curry. Your trip to South Africa will not be complete until you have had a braai (BBQ).

Namibia

Best Times: May - December

A predominantly arid country, Namibia can be divided into four main topographical regions: the Namib Desert and coastal plains in the west, the eastward-sloping Central Plateau, the Kalahari along the borders with South Africa and Botswana and the densely wooded bushveld of the Kavango and Caprivi regions. Despite its harsh climate, Namibia has some of the world’s grandest national parks, ranging from the wildlife-rich Etosha National Park in Northwestern Namibia, to the dune fields and desert plains of the Namib-Naukluft Park in Western Namibia. Windhoek, in the Central Highlands, is the country's geographical heart and commercial nerve centre, with an ethnic mix of people, while surfers and beach-lovers won't want to miss Swakopmund.Namibia is one of those dreamlike places that make you question whether something so visually orgasmic could actually exist.

Mozambique

Best Times: May - December

Mozambique is one of Africa’s up-and-coming hot-spots, with stunning beaches, excellent diving and magical offshore islands. Go snorkelling around the Bazaruto Archipelago, sail on a dhow through mangrove channels or laze under the palms in the Quirimbas Archipelago, take an off-beat safari in the wilds of Gorongosa National Park, wander along cobbled streets past stately colonial-era buildings on Ilha de Moçambique, sip a café espresso at one of Maputo’s lively sidewalk cafés (or maybe a caipirinha at one of its jazz bars), watch the silversmiths at work on Ibo Island or dance to the country’s trademark marrabenta music. For almost two decades, many of these attractions were inaccessible due to a protracted guerrilla war. Now dark times are in the past, and Mozambique is one of Africa’s rising stars, with an upbeat atmosphere, overflowing markets and a 2500km coastline waiting to be discovered.

Zimbabwe

Best Times: April - September

Zimbabwe has many beautiful tourist attractions one of them is the famous Victoria Falls. The country is blessed with fertile soil, mineral wealth and breathtaking scenery. Two major rivers form the northern and southern borders. Great Zambesi River cut across the north, while the Limpopo River forms the southern border with South Africa. Zimbabwe offers a challenge to hunt that more authentic experience. The country offers an amazing safari. You can bungee jump from the Victoria Falls bridge if you’re one for adrenaline sports; there is hiking and trekking; how about a splash into whitewater rafting, kayaking, or canoeing (depending on your thrill level). There are parks to visit, whether it’s the Nyanga National Park, ancient ruin sites like Great Zimbabwe Ruins in Masvingo Khami Ruins, Zimbabwe, Dhlo-Dh.
